We accept many in-kind donations. Please review our list of
ITEMS ACCEPTED to confirm the items you want to donate are needed at DFS.
Kindly check out our CRITICAL NEEDS list indicating our current in-store inventory is low or nonexistent with regards to these essentials.
Receipts for in-kind donations are available at drop-off - just ask.
Our lists are updated frequently, however consider following us on Facebook for news on store closures, need updates, as well as the sharing of store successes and milestones.

| Household Donations |
Here's how to donate:
- First, please check whether your donation items are on the ACCEPTED ITEMS list. If they are, great!
- If they are not on the list and you see a potential need, please send us an email with details of your donation.

If you are a first-time donor, please shoot us an email and we will provide with details on how to drop off. It'd be disappointing to miss you.
Drop-off times for non-furniture items on the list are:
Sundays between 12 noon & 2pm
Tuesdays between 5pm & 7pm
Wednesdays between 1pm & 3pm
Look for the orange cones at the corner door by the playground.

| Furniture Donations |
Please email pictures of the furniture you wish to donate to deerfieldfreestore@gmail.com. Specify in the subject line: Possible furniture donation.
Living spaces tend to be small and best suited for essential furniture: vertical dressers, loveseats/small couches, eating tables with chairs, nightstands, small desks, low bookcases. Multi-functional pieces are a bonus.
Due to transportation challenges, china cabinets and pieces with marble or glass are generally not a good match.
Once your items have been reviewed and approved, we will make an appointment for you to drop off on a Tuesday night (5-6:30pm) or on a Wednesday (1-2:45pm). You may drop off other items at the same time. |

Financially
Financial Donations allow DFS to purchase needed items directly, leverage bulk buying, purchase tax-exempt and facilitate a quick response to Givenkind offers as available and needed.
Financial gifts will be acknowledged by mail.

As a nonprofit member of Givenkind we can purchase business donated items for a small service fee. Inventory is fluid, but we look for items that we would normally purchase.
